Albuquerque, N.M. Daniel Trujillo, CPA, CFE, CGFM, CGMA and Managing Partner of TKM, LLC, has been named to the Auditing Standards Board (ASB), part of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the national professional organization of Certified Public Accountants in the United States with more than 428,000 members in 130 countries. The ASB issues standards for auditing private companies, quality management standards for practitioners providing audit and attest services to private companies, and attestation standards. It also develops practice guidance for performing audit and attestation engagements under AICPA standards. Trujillo joins the ASB in May 2025.
“Being appointed to the ASB is a big deal because this is the body that creates the standards that auditors follow day-to-day,” says Trujillo. “To be part of the body that creates those standards is an honor, and speaks to the knowledge and expertise that I’ve gained over my career. To have a representative on a board of this caliber is awesome for the state, too. I’m confident that I will represent New Mexico and the profession well and look forward to adding value.”
